    Best Windows IRC client that isn't weird and quirky like mIRC?


    What's a nice Windows 10 IRC client that mostly 'just works' and doesn't require asking in help forums on how to do basic stuff, as happened to me with mIRC?

    I'm a long time IRC user since the '90s, but mIRC was weird, sorry. Like it was the personal passion project of a dev, rather than what I was lead to believe was the platform's top choice.

    Paid or free, it's fine by me so long as it's worth it Best Windows IRC client that isn't weird and quirky like mIRC? :)

    SimpleIRC is paid and from some of the reviews .. does not seem to be worth the money.

    This is what I need to do but it is not very detailed for me to understand and can't find any step by step instructions.

    This is assuming you have the IRC links assosicated with mIRC.

    I made a simple registry file that will make the Chrome changes as well as associate IRC and XDCC links to mIRC:
