    If anyone is using VirtualBox the test version of guest additions 4.3.21.97986 from here Testbuilds – Oracle VM VirtualBox seems to work with build 9926. The display adapter driver now loads correctly (which doesn't work in the current 4.3.20 version).

    Problem accessing shared folder in VirtualBox (Host is Mac OSX. Guest is Windows 10)

    I have been running Windows 10 in VirtualBox and accessing files across OS's via a shared folder.

    Windows updated this morning and now I've lost access to the shared folder.

    I've removed the folder from the VirtualBox Shared Folder list (Windows is booted up). Have re-added the folder (Automount and Make Permanent set). I've restarted a number of times. No impact.

    Tried re-installing VirtualBox Guest Additions. This fails with "No device Ids found ...unknown error (0xE0000301)".

    Have re-downloaded VirtualBox and re-installed. Still no share and still can't install guest additions.

    Can anyone help?

    Check your PC - indicates Windows 10 can't be installed because of VirtualBox Graphics Adapter for Windows 8

    The upgrade option from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 running as a VirtualBox guest was to download the MediaCreationTool from Microsoft's website.

    Executing the MediaCreationTool provides the option to upgrade to Windows 10 or create a media file.

    The option for upgrading by clicking on the "Get Windows 10" icon in the system tray still doesn't work for me for the same reasons stated previously.

    I'm running VirtualBox 5.0 and with the guest additions installed. Windows 10 experience with VB 5.0 isn't as clean as the experience with Windows 8.1. Only the Full Screen mode works cleanly. The seamless mode (which I prefer) hides the task bar. I
    believe this because VirtualBox 5.0 guest additions don't explicitly support Windows 10 yet.

    I had to retreat back to 8.1 because the Edge browser wants to force me to use a specific JRE version and not use the version that I have installed.

    For me, I won't be going to Windows 10 until VirtualBox fully supports it and I find a workaround for the Edge/JRE issue that I'm experiencing.
