  1. Bing cookies magicly appears on my PC

Hi.I noticed that, even when I do not open any web browser, and even if I try to block cookies and other trackers, there's always BING cookies that appears on my computer... Since I choose to not allow cookies, why does Microsoft ignore my choice, and where does these cookies come from ?Bing is not my search browser, I do not use Windows search engine or Cortana which is supose to be disabled and softwares are not allowed to run in background.... Thank you.

    :)

  2. The Case of the Mysterious Cookies!

I'm hoping that the experts that browse these pages can help. I'm running Windows 10 ver 1903. I use Firefox 68 for browsing and my default search engine is Google. Despite MS's best efforts I do not use Edge, nor do I use Bing.

Even though I do not use Edge or Bing, cookies from Bing seem to appear in the list of cookies that are reported in CCleaner.

When I use Firefox's Clear Data feature (in aboutBing cookies magicly appears on my PC :preferences#privacy / Cookies and Site Data) these Bing cookies are left behind. I conclude that these cookies are not being collected by F/Fox but that some process(es)
are putting Bing cookies on my computer, and that these are not generated through my Firefox/Google browsing combo.

Any ideas what's generating these Bing cookies, and how it can be stopped? Incidentally this cookie thing is not constrained just to a single Win 10 computer; it's happening on all 4 Windows 10 ver 1903 systems in our household.

These are examples of the cookies:

    bing.com

    login.live.com

    www.bing.com

    www2.bing.com

    Grateful thanks

Bing cookies magicly appears on my PC :)

How to get rid of Bing Search History ?

Go to the Bing homepage and click on Search History. On the right side of the page you will see the Turn off button, this will turn off the search history feature in the Bing Homepage
The Bing Homepage Search History should now be turned off. This setting will remain unless your cookies are cleared. Should you need to clear your cookies, then you will need to repeat these steps again.

Bing cookies set when Win10 starts - why?: I've noticed that when I start Win10 it sets two cookies - bing.com and Bing - even though I don't knowingly use Bing for anything. So, I'm curious to know why these are being set. Could it be related to the inbuilt Win10 search function that seems to want to use Bing?...
