Windows 10: Bios cant update due to me having no battery

I have an extensa 251-51g and i accidentally pressed the update system firmware when i checked for available updates not really knowing what it is then when i restarted i got greeted by upgrade process has been suspended because i need to have my battery at 25% but i dont have one since i removed it also other thing was the ac adapter and it happens everytime i restart i need to do these insert pin to the battery reset thingy it resolves it but it is way too much work and everytime i load to my windows it always notify me that restart is required to install new system firmware update. Laptop battery issue

I have the same issue. I am trying to update the BIOS but will not due to "missing" battery. My charger did die on me and I had to replace it. I also wound up having to reinstall XP. Ever since the reload, the battery has been missing in action. It will run without being plugged into the wall and the battery checks good with 5 green lights. Any suggestions on how to update the bios with this problem?

 

WinFlash doesn't update Bios when battery is removed

I have laptop ASUS X556UQK with OS windows 10 and it's battery is removed because bloating (Swollen battery).

I'm trying to update Bios from version 312 to 318 using WinFlash and the downloaded Bios file version 318 from ASUS site.

Here what i did by my side in trying to update the Bios:

1. By following the classic steps to update Bios (throught advanced setup and USB flash), it says Ez Flash-Check System Power Error: please check battery is connected and remaining capacity is more than 20%. 2. I tried the alternative methode via terminal
   
   "C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\WinFlash\WinFlash.exe" /nodate
   
3. When the system display that i can not update the bios because there is no battery, on my keyboard i type the word "risky".
   

None of the above steps helped me to update bios without battery or bypass the warning please check battery is connected and remaining capacity is more than 20%.

Is there any other way to update my laptop's Bios through WinFlash without battery connected?

Still can't reproduce. Could you please post the exact BIOSes that produce the issue?
