Windows 10: BIOS Interface option 'ENABLE USB WAKE SUPPORT' Not working

Hello everyone.

Lately, I reconstructed my laptop setup so I could get more space on my desk. Unfortunately, this involves putting the laptop under a stand which stops me from having an easy way to open the lid of the laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron laptop and went to BIOS Interface to enable 'Enable USB Wake Support'. Since I have done this, I have noticed that after a few hours of Sleep Mode on my laptop, the option will not function when I press my keyboard to Wake the computer. 'Enable USB Wake Supprt' only works for about 3 hours until it completely stops working (when I press my keyboard, nothing happens)

I would like some answers to this since it is becoming a chore for me to take my laptop from under the stand to turn it on. Please reply.

How to Enable the Wake from Standby Option for a USB Mouse

We suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

• Press Windows Key + R Key.
• Type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on
  Enter Key.
  
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  
• Right click on the driver.
• Click Power Management and ensure that "Allow this Device to Wake the Computer" is checked.

• Which version of Windows 10 is installed on your device?
• Are the devices in the organization are connected to a domain network/ Windows Server?
• Are you referring to the USB device when you say: hasp usb key? Confirm to us?

If not, try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Sep 2: I suggest you to connect different drive to the machines and check if the same issue persists.
