  1. BIOS Update, Computer Not Connecting to WIFI

After using a wifi pineapple and going into my network settings I changed the Ethernet settings on my pineapple to WIFI in control center. I could no longer connected to WiFi. Says no internet, secured. I restarted my computer and it says I have to create a new PIN because of the BIOS update that happened when I restarted. It says I need to connect to WIFI to login to my Microsoft account but no WIFI is connecting. Says "No internet, secured" on all wifi I try to connect to. I can connect to wifi fine on my other computers and phone. I can't login to my computer because of this. Please help! h

    :)

Trouble updating BIOS on Dell computer

I seem to be back online with the stricken computer! I'm not sure why though so let me detail what I did and maybe someone can make sense of this:
    1. I ran the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it seemed to work fine: there were no error messages, in fact virtually no messages at all beyond a successful completion message. I was pleased but suspicious since Dism also swore that there was nothing wrong in the first place.
    2. I tried to run the BIOS update. After the UAC prompt, I got the message "Unable to access the BIOS Monotonic Protocol". I have *no* idea what that means.
    3. Just for the heck of it, I ran the WiFi update and it claimed to work. (Yesterday, when I ran the WiFi update before I'd done the Dism /RestoreHealth, it got stuck on trying to create a restore point for a very long time and then ultimately failed.) When I looked in Device Manager, it was unchanged: the General tab still says there is no driver while the Driver tab says the driver is current. My WiFi was still "disabled" and I was unable to enable it.
    4. I rebooted again thinking that might help because the newly repaired drivers may not be accessible until reloaded by a reboot. Then, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a WiFi icon showing that I was connected. I checked my email and went online to look at the current news and both worked fine!!!
I seem to have my connection back but I have a feeling there are still some things I need to attend to, like the BIOS update and the other urgent updates identified by Dell for my service tag. What would you suggest I do at this point? I'm tempted to "take the win" and just get back to doing what I was trying to do before all this trouble but I bet you'll advise against that.... By the way, the flash drive that was behaving in a wonky fashion earlier in this ordeal seems to be behaving normally again.

Can't connect to wifi after Windows Update

I have now tried all of the suggested steps at least twice.

The only instance of seemingly achieving any progress was the first time I performed a clean boot, when the wifi connection actually worked. But after that, I tried following the steps to isolate the problem and then after restarting the computer, all of
my wireless features have disappeared again. I have tried repeating the entire sequence of steps again, but the wifi hasn't worked again. It just worked that one time, but I don't know why it was different that time.

I have been trying to fix this for over 11 hours, but haven't been able to connect back to wifi.

I would like to know if rolling back the Windows Update is an option and, if so, how to do that and how to prevent Windows from updating again.
