Windows 10: BIOS Update for Asus P6x58D-E

Bios I bought new ram and I need to update my bios for Asus p6x58d-e.

The bios does not recognize the thumb drive.

Asus Bios Update Windows 10

My pc occasionally gets blue screen when closing down, it was happening when I had windows 7 and since upgrading to windows 10 I'm still getting it. Error I get is Driver-Power-State-Failure. After searching online I decided to update the bios, but the
only update Asus have for the P6X58D-E is showing on windows 8. Any idea if this is suitable to use, it comes up with the same file when I select other. Thanks

 

what is the difference between the Asus P6X58D premium and the P6X58D-E?

The only differences I could find is that the Premium has slightly different heatsinks and also has a second LAN port.

However, some differences may not be visible. The premium may be better engineered to handle higher speeds and the Premium may have a better bios.

But the boards look very very similar. If I had to pick I'd get the Asus P6X58D-E because I can't see enough differences that warrent the $70 premium.
