Windows 10: Bit lock recovery

I bought a new laptop, on the second day when I powered it up it asked for the bitlocker key.I set my Microsoft account up 17 years ago and do not have it written down.When I tried to recovery my key I found it wanted to send the verification code to a mobile number I do have anymore. As I’m having to change the device the security code is being sent to, they are saying I’ll have to wait 30days!!!Is there any other way of recovering my bit locker key???

Hello,

If you're locked out of your PC, you'll need a Bitlocker recovery key to sign back in. Bitlocker recovery keys may be recovered in the following places:

• On a printout you saved.
• Saved on a USB flash drive.
• In your Microsoft account. See Bitlocker Recovery Keys.
• In your Azure Active Directory account. If you are on a work PC and use an Azure Active Directory account to sign in, to get your recovery key, see the device info for your
  Microsoft Azure account.

Or you may ask some for help:

• Ask someone with administrator privileges on the same PC to unlock it with their key.
• If your PC is connected to a domain, ask a system administrator for your recovery key.

However, if the above places does not recover your recovery key, you may have to reset your PC to its default factory settings.
