Windows 10: bit locker and my device

So recently I attempted to update my laptop but once it turned back on there was a bit locker. I now need a recovery key and understand that I'm supposed to find that in devices. This is where my issue arises. My laptop/device doesn't show up and will not allow me to add a new device. It's my school account and don't know if that means the school would have access to see the recovery key and that I would have to get it through them or not. Otherwise, I have no idea and really don't want to have to pay to get my laptop reset.

I have my account and device listed but when I go to the bit locker it says no key is there and I ha e no other way to access it

Daughter laptop requesting bit locker recovery key.

She didn't change anything.

But overnight, its now requesting this. So assume an update occurred, that impacted this.

Ive checked our MS account and there no recovery keys there. He device is not even listed.

Is there a workaround, or fix. Ive looked at the support notes, and don't have a print out of the key or usb stick etc..

any help would be appreciated. As were stuck on the blue screen Bit locker screen.

Bit locker won’t except any of the keys from my Microsoft account. What’s the next step to get it unlocked?
