Windows 10: Bit Locker Encryption

We have an HP ProDesk 400 G6 SSF workstation, we were having issues with the workstation and had the motherboard replaced. After the motherboard was replaced, the workstation wouldn't boot past a bit locker encryption key screen. We tried doing a factory reset, a format of the C drive and nothing worked. We had HP send us a recovery key with OEM software, and tried to boot to USB to hopefully get it back up and running. Now HP is passing me off to Microsoft to get this fixed. My work does not and has not ever used bit locker encryption. When I originally set up the workstation, I didn't link it to any Microsoft account, I did a local set up. Than connected to the domain, and set it up for the end-user. Now is there a way I can get this computer unlocked, if I have to do it through domain where would the recovery key be located? Since we have never used bit locker or anything similar I have no idea where to look to get this workstation operational again. This workstation is only 3 months old, and was only deployed for 2 weeks before motherboard issue happened and this thing has been locked since.

Bit locker Encryption

Hello Fiends,

Actually my problem is that i have previously installed windows 7 ultimate(32 bit) in my desktop and to protect my data,
encrypted the "D drive" using bit locker, then after few months, i installed
windows 10 pro(64 bit) in my desktop without disabling the bit locker, after installation i was able to access my locked drive with same password.

Till here everything was fine, but after some days my Desktop started to lag then again i switched to
windows 7 ultimate(64 bit).

But Now i'm not able to access my encrypted drive which was locked by bit locker with same password.

While i'm trying to unlock the encrypted drive i'm getting the massage as
"Unable to Complete the requested operation because of either a catastrophic media failure
or a data structure corruption on the disk".

Pls Help.

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with encrypting the hard drive on Windows 10.

This issue might be due to problems with change in group policy settings for bit locker.

To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

• Have you created any system restore point on the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to manage the bit locker settings in the group policy settings by following the below link and check if it helps.

First before performing any changes in Bit locker settings, I suggest you to create System Restore point on the computer. So that we can restore back to previous Windows state if any issues occurs.

Bit locker

HI i got a issue regarding the bit locker. One of my drive got the encrypted in bit locker, neither the key is available on Microsoft account nor got saved on my USB. how can i resolve it. Currently i am using Windows 10 Home version.
