Windows 10: bit locker is not responding on entering correct password

Hello technicians, I am in distress. I have my research thesis in my external 3TB western digital hard drive. The drive is just 5 months old. Yesterday after I resumed my PC Win7 from hibernation, I couldn't unlock my external USB mass storage hard disk drive. As I entered the correct password, the cursor went busy, and after that the bit locker window freezed and it showed not responding. Since I tried safe mode, it shows the disk is not accessible, may be due to its encryption, or something else. In clean boot, the problem persists. In another desktop also the problem is same. 1. What is the error message appears when you’re trying to enter a Bit locker key?
   
2. What is the version of Windows 10 you have installed?
   
3. What is the make and model number of your computer?
   

Issues might be happening because of entering Incorrect Bit Locker recovery key. Bit Locker key password will be a 48-digit alpha numeric characters.

BitLocker not accepting Password and Recovery Key which are correct.

I was removing bit locker password by decrypting it but suddenly it starts not responding and program closed then I restart my pc and try to unlock external hard drive but when I enter correct password and recovery key it says "Password entered is incorrect."

What to do please help anyone, my data is important to me.
