Windows 10: Bitlocker activated when hard drive replaced, now has locked up drive

My laptop was purchased in 2019 with Windows 10 Home, which doesn't include Bitlocker, so when I registered with Microsoft 365, there was no Bitlocker key assigned . While under warranty, SSD C drive failed, so asurion replaced it, but loaded a different Windows 10 product which included Bitlocker and it was activated. We were not advised that they loaded a different Windows 10 product. @ months later, during a windows update, Bitlocker interprested the update as an unauthorized invasion and has now locked up the SSD and the laptop wont boot. Asurion wont do anything, keeps dumping us on Windows. Windows doesn't have anybody to talk to, only Q&A self-help board. A previous Q described the exact same scenario and was told by MS windows tech there was no way to get round Bitlocker so he had to reinstall Windows 10 with an install media made on another PC. Except that when Windows 10 tries to wipe existing Windows 10 and clean install on locked PC from install media, it cant install onto the SSD because THAT DRIVE IS LOCKED UP BY BITLOCKER! I am in an endlessly repeating loop of locked computer>excuses> bad advice>lack of human interface> non-working solutions>locked up computer. HEEEELPP

Unlocking Hard drive

To answer your questions:

• We can try to enable BitLocker to encrypt your hard drive and then decrypt it later.
• BitLocker is what we recommend. You may use third-party software at your discretion.

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.
