Windows 10: Bitlocker decryption ruined my laptop

I was decrypting 2 partition of my hard drivebitlocker 4 days ago. After 77.4% and 33% respectively, it stopped and the only thing that has changed is that my laptop has become very slow. It takes 30-40 mins to boot. Nothing works smoothly. Opening a folder takes 15 mins. Each passing day makes my laptop slower. I even tried booting in safe mode, it's still the same. Note: My system disc was not encrypted. Other 2 partitions were encrypted. And one of them shows no files available although it's 70% full. I want to save my data somehow. But the laptop is too unresponsive. Please help!

For future reference, instead of using the TASK MANAGER to restart, you can simply hold CTRL + SHIFT and right click on blank space on the Task bar, to bring up 'Exit Explorer'.

Another option is to use software.

Bitlocker Stuck Decrypting

As a BitLocker user myself, I can definitively say it has zero issues with SSD's. Nor has Microsoft listed any SSD drive issues.

Also be aware BitLocker decryption is not an instantaneous process and can take anywhere between 20 minutes to a few hours depending on data and size of drive.

That said, drive decryption does not prevent normal use of drive.

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to fix the issue.

1. Open the command prompt as admin.
   
2. Type in manage-bde –off <drive> and hit
   Enter.
   
   manage-bde –resume <drive>
   

manage-bde –on <drive>

Replace Drive by drive letter

1. Restart the computer and check the status of the issue
