BitLocker didn't go though the regular setup process in Windows 11

I recently upgraded from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro so that I could use BitLocker to encrypt the entire hard-drive on my new laptop. However after the upgrade to Pro, it says "BitLocker on", even though I never turned it on. Also, on other devices, it will normally go though a wizard setup process -- e.g. prompt you to choose to unlock using a password or smart card, choose password, etc. and wait for the drive to encrypt. None of this process happened, it just turned on automatically with no intervention by me whatsoever. Does anyone know if this is normal behaviour for BitLocker in

    :)
