Windows 10: BitLocker drive got corrupted. Methods to restore data?

I'd like to ask for your help regarding a BitLocker drive corruption issue. I am going to write down the steps that caused the problem to help you understand what happened.

1. I saved some data from a 320GB hard drive, and formatted it. It is NOT the Bitlocker drive, and it is unencrypted.
2. I shut down the computer, disconnected the 320GB hard drive, then plugged in the encrypted 1TB drive which was functioning well before that. I used the same cable and sata port as the 320GB was connected to.
3. Started up windows, and noticed the encrypted 1TB drive was being displayed as the formatted and empty 320GB drive wat.
4. I restarted the machine and plugged the sata cable to another sata port. Windows now sees that the drive is encryped, but says that the disk structure is corrupted and it is unreadable. The lock icon is grey and there is no size or any other data present.

The drive is recognised in the Manage BitLocker Drives menu, and the drive is recognised in the Windows Partition Manager too. It reads the correct capacity, but says 'Unknown' partition. I did not do anything besides plugging the drive in and trying to open it. The encrypted drive has only one partition.

So my questions:

Should i use the 'repair-bde' command? Or use some third-party tools? Or both? I'm thinking of buying 1-2 backup drives to make at least 2 recoveries with different methods.

How bad could the damage be? Or is it only the MBR?

Maybe the most important question above all: What caused this catastrophic failure?

This could be due to some corruption in the system files, please check the methods below and see if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to start the BitLocker Device Encryption service.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows key + R from the Keyboard.
• Type services.msc and hit Enter.
• Search for BitLocker Device Encryption service.
• Double click on BitLocker Device Encryption service and click on
  Start button.
• Click on the dropdown list and set the Startup type to
  Automatic.

Method 2: Please try the steps provided in the given article.

Unlock a BitLocker-protected drive

If the issue persists, follow method 2.

Method 3: Perform SFC scan

I would suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if that helps. The
sfc/scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions. It is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore
corrupted files.

BitLocker key cannot unlock the disk. Neither can i reinstall cause the drive is blocked

Restoring BitLocked D drive data when the operating system on drive C is damaged

Hello.

I am using C and D drives by partitioning notebook SSD partitions, Win10 for C and D drive for data storage.
I put BitLock on the D drive.

Due to an abnormal shutdown of the notebook, the C drive partition area is corrupted, so it can not boot and boot using bootable USB.

I can unlock the BitLock of the D drive using the restore key, and I have also checked the folders and files inside.

In addition, the D drive was in a state of BitLock at abnormal termination.

However, I want to copy using xcopy, IO error occurred and copying was not done and monitoring is done with Chkdsk

A log of some areas is corrupted.

Here,
Will I be able to restore the C drive and reformat the drive C, reformat the drive, and then install the OS D without restoration?
In other words, when the C drive was damaged, the D drive was bitlocked, so is not the D drive a problem?

The restore time or cost depends on whether to restore to drive D. There is also a security problem.
