Windows 10: Bitlocker error in windows after unlock and decryption was performed on external ssd

Internal PCMe ssd main bootable Windows OS drive removed from Lenovo T-480 business laptop, due to motherboard problems.Installed the ssd drive into an enclosure that delivers an input/output usb-c serial interface for allowing the drive to be plugged in as external hard drive on another Windows laptop.I unlocked the BitLocker key on the external drive using the 48 character recovery password key.I was able to see directories and files and copied some of them onto my personal laptop.That was a couple of days ago, everything worked okay.I reconnected the external drive at a later date, and it k

For future reference, instead of using the TASK MANAGER to restart, you can simply hold CTRL + SHIFT and right click on blank space on the Task bar, to bring up 'Exit Explorer'.

Another option is to use software.

Bitlocker Stuck Decrypting

As a BitLocker user myself, I can definitively say it has zero issues with SSD's. Nor has Microsoft listed any SSD drive issues.

Also be aware BitLocker decryption is not an instantaneous process and can take anywhere between 20 minutes to a few hours depending on data and size of drive.

That said, drive decryption does not prevent normal use of drive.

Windows Auto unlock ONLY works in case you have Bitlocker on your system drive, because if your system drive is not encrypted auto unlocking other drives means loss of security.
But in my case my system drive is Encrypted with hardware encryption that i password unlock during boot. So auto unlocking Bitlocker drives will do fine for me.
