Windows 10: Bitlocker fulldisk encryption, writing files to disk while encryption is in progress?

So if i enabled fulldisk-encryption with bitlocker, and while it is encrypting i am for example creating textdocuments or whatever on the disk being encrypted, it will also be encrypted or will it not be?

Edit: I am not creating textdocuments but copying big files to the disk while it is fulldisk encrypting, they should be encrypted realtime?

Saving and copying files on a drive with Bitlocker encrypting still in progress

Hello,

We want to encrypt drive D: for all workstation. Is there any way to read and write on a drive during encrypting in progress?

Any advise in deployment of bitlocker that the user will not feel any conflict when processing files on a drive during encrypting in progress?

the program is not responding. it all hung up. had to disconnect the drive.
how to recover a disk? encryption is interrupted. ,
the drive is encrypted, asks for a password. I open the disk and the encryption program opens and freezes by 10%
