Windows 10: Bitlocker is locking devices during latest August update

We force pushed the latest security update with a 1 day grace period and then 1 day later when we came in, people were reporting that their computers were being blocked by BitLocker.We had a look at one of them, unlocked it, and it appeared to have been half way through the update.We have now paused the updates for the devices, and we haven't heard a peep for the rest of the day.The issue only appears to be affecting our Dell Optiplex 3000 devices.

Bitlocker frequently locking computers

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these suggestions don't really fit our needs. We want to use BitLocker and don't want to disable it. The problem we have is that it locks some of our computers from time to time. Ideally we will make use of BitLocker but not have it blocking our computers.

I have tried:

1. Turning off BitLocker
   
2. Installing all Driver and Windows Updates
   
3. Turning BitLocker back on again
   

Maybe this will help. We will wait and see.

 

Locked from BitLocker. What Microsoft account is my device on?

I decided to update the bios my laptop, and now I am locked out because of BitLocker. My understanding is that I can retrieve the recovery key from my Microsoft account. But, when I looked in my devices my laptop was not listed under my devices. How can I find out what account my laptop is registered in while being locked from BitLocker?

Bitlocker Not Working After Windows 10 Update

I followed your suggestions and these did not resolve the problem.

I have found that Bitlocker stops working after I have relocked the drive using the command "manage-bde -lock -forcedismount d:" and the computer remains idle for some time. When I return and try to access the drive, it does not display the window to enter
the password. There are instance of bdeunlock.exe listed in the Task Manager-->Details window however.

Everything was working fine until this latest update.

Any additional suggestions?
