Bitlocker keeps showing up after the i've changed boot sequence to cloned SSD

I was cloning my HDD to my SSD. Now before cloning I disabled BitLocker and then clone the drive. After cloning was completed, I change the boot sequence to boot from HDD to the SSD. However bitlocker prompt kicked in asking my to enter the password. And I entered the password and assumed everything was alright. But every time I restart the bitlocker prompt gets thrown up. Is there something i need to change or fix on the bios level?

    :)

  2. Clone Bitlocker enable drive to SSD

Hello, I received a new Samsung 860 EVO SSD and want to clone my current HDD to my new SSD. There's one small problem. My laptop came pre-enabled with Device Encryption also know as Bitlocker. It originally came with Windows 10 Home but I upgraded it
to pro so i have all options available. I was about to clone it when Macrium reflect said that bitlocker would be disabled on the new drive and that i would have to reenable it. How can i clone the HDD to my new SSD and keep bitlocker enabled without bitlocker
    flipping out?

  3. How to change boot from HDD to SSD?

    Hello Alden,

I understand that you've already tried to change the boot order/sequence of your computer. To help you change the boot order/sequence to your SSD, refer to the steps below:

    1. While your computer is booting up, press the F2/Del key to enter BIOS setup.

    2. Change the boot order/sequence and set your cloned SSD as the 1st boot device.

    3. Save the changes.

You may also check the answer from Andre Da Costa in this
    thread
for a more detailed steps of changing the boot order/sequence of your computer.

Let me know if you have other concerns.

    Regards.

Clone Bitlocker enable drive to SSD

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Heed the advice of the software, you must disable BitLocker before cloning. This is highly recommend if you ever want to get access to the drive.

There is nothing wrong with having to re-enable it after restoring the clone.

    Step 1: disable BitLocker.

    Step 2: clone drive

Step 3: restore the cloned image to the new drive.

    Step 4: Re-Enable BitLocker.
