Windows 10: BitLocker Key on Locked Lenova Laptop

My Lenova laptop crashed and on re-starting, its asking for BitLocker Key. Since I have not installed BitLocker, I don't have they Key and I tried all possible ways to fund the key, but no luck. Is there any way I can rectify this issue? or How to reset or re-install the windows?* Moved from Community Center

Locked laptop, no password, Bitlocker locks the drive

A colleague expired recently and left his laptop (issued by the office) locked and Bitlocker locks the drive. We don't know what password he used and the Bitlocker recovery key. How can we reformat the laptop if there's no other way to access it?
