Windows 10: Bitlocker key screen vicious loop - troubleshooting

HiI closed my notebook and opened it up to find a Bitlocker recovery key message. I entered the recovery key and got a message about attempting repair but I landed back on the recover key screen again. I've entered the key 5-6 times and the same thing happens.While I'd rather not have to reinstall Windows and other software I'm ok if that's my only option...except that I can't seem to do that either. I've tried both reset options save files, remove everything and I get a message saying "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made." I'm totally stuck and would love suggestions

I closed my notebook and opened it up to find a Bitlocker recovery key message. I entered the recovery key and got messages about "unlocking" > "diagnosing PC" > then a message "Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC. Press Advanced Options to repair or shut down to turn off your PC."

No matter what options I try, I land back on the Bitlocker recovery key screen. I've entered the key 5-6 times and the same thing happens.

While I'd rather not have to reinstall Windows and other software I'm ok if that's my only option.... but reset options didn't work either. I tried both reset options (save files, remove everything) and got a message saying "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made."

I'm totally stuck and would love suggestions.

BitLocker Key recovery loop

After resetting my computer, my computer entered a bitlocker recovery loop. Pressing escape and F11 do not take me to an alternative screen to escape the loop. The bitlocker recovery screen is not accepting my bitlocker key. How can I continue resetting my computer? I wanted to wipe all information on the drive, so I’m not concerned about retrieving the information that is encrypted.
