Windows 10: Bitlocker keys for first device no longer showing after adding new device to account.

I have a 2 year old laptop which I periodically would verify had it's Bitlocker keys visible in my Microsoft account.Now I added a new desktop to my account. The Bitlocker keys for the desktop are now in my account, which is fine.However, now when I click on the laptop device in my Microsoft account, the new desktops Bitlocker keys show up, not the laptops keys!!I do have the key info for the laptop elsewhere, in my files, but it appears there is some error in the Microsoft account if it is showing the keys for the wrong device, which concerns me.

Now I added a new desktop to my account. The Bitlocker keys for the desktop are now in my account, which is fine.

First, I have one account. All my devices show up in it.

As the initial post says, when I select the older laptop and click "Manage Recovery Keys" to view the Bitlocker keys for it, it no longer shows the keys for that device, but instead for the new desktop device. It's repeatable. 10 out of 10 times. The same keys show up for both devices.

I'd post the actual screen images here, but obviously it wouldn't be a good idea to post keys.

Finding your BitLocker recovery key in Windows

I'm thinking maybe you have two separate Microsoft accounts. What happens when you turn on the laptop then click "START, Settings, Accounts, Manage My Microsoft Account"? Does it really go to the same Microsoft account as on the Desktop? What BitLocker key(s) show up?
