    Bitlocker locked and won't allow me to type letters in the key code


    Hi. I just got a new HP laptop, with Win11 Pro. After going through the initial startup, the computer restarted straight to a Bitlocker screen and wants a recovery key. When I try to enter the key code I am not allowed to enter letters, such as a "B". Numbers are accepted, but letters aren't! I've tried getting out of this mess for hours. I can't get beyond the screen because I can't enter the whole code!! I've tried selecting other sign issues, but the repair and reset options don't work. I've turned the computer off, and on, and off and on, to no avail. Every restart opens to the same lock

    My caps lock won t turn off

    I'm typing a letter in word, it was fine then started using all caps it won t turn them the usual way

    Can't type letters in bitlocker

    How can I get the letters to work when your typing in key code for BitLocker my on-screen keyboard will not come up function key doesn't do nothing neither does tapping it and my number lock and caps lock are both off and on I've tried them both ways
    I've searched everywhere and still got no answer as it is a borrowed laptop I sure hope I can get an answer soon I do have the password saved I have also tried every other option restore reset everything and it keeps bringing me back to the BitLocker option
    there's like restore reset turn off startup other options and it keeps bringing me back to BitLocker I'm running Windows 10 on x2000 ThinkPad tablet touch screen and thank you very much in advance for all the help anyone give me

    Thanks for the info I didn't know that. I know my password the key code it even shows the key code on the screen. Funny thing is I don't use BitLocker I got to BitLocker all because I got an error message that said. Something like "can not find script
    run.vbs or can not run.vbs" and the only thing I can manage to get onto is the CMD. If only someone could tell me how to just unlock the keyboard to type letters anyways thank you for comnent
