Windows 10: Bitlocker on Secondary Fixed Drive that Has Software Installed

I want to put bitlocker on a non-OS drive that also has software installed on it (a few games, email, etc).

For the purposes of this question let's focus specifically on Blizzard Battle.net and Windows Live Mail being installed on the drive, as they're easy examples.

When I log into Windows, and Battle.net is installed on the C drive and the game is on the secondary drive, and I try to launch the game?

When I open Windows Live Mail, what's going to happen?

I've read about there being ways to access a bitlocker'ed OS drive if you can log into Windows, because of where the information is saved and what not.

Is that the same for secondary drives? I imagine they work just like flash drives in that the computer doesn't actually save any info anywhere, because it's not needed to boot the computer.

Thoughts?

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

Prompt For Bitlocker Recovery Key For Secondary Internal HDD After Reboot

Have rebooted my laptop (Dell G7) and drive D: (secondary) was not accessible until the Bitlocker Recovery Key was entered.

It appears to be treating this drive as external with a Drive Type of "SDV" and not internal. As in the manage this device section the secondary drive is not listed and only the primary drive C: is listed.

How do make this drive internal?

• You must be able to provide administrative credentials.
• The drive must be BitLocker-protected.

To suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption on an operating system drive, please follow the steps below:

• Click Start, click Control Panel, click
  System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
• Click Suspend Protection for the operating system drive.
• A message is displayed, informing you that your data will not be protected while BitLocker is suspended and asking if you want to suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption.
  
• Click Yes to continue and suspend BitLocker on the drive.
