Windows 10: BitLocker Password or Recovery Key

Dear All,


FYI, one of our staff was accidently turn on the BitLocker Drive Encryption for Windows 10 Pro in his HP laptop for a quite some time. Last few, days the laptop's motherboard was faulty and we manage to get HP to replace the new motherboard. However, after replace the motherboard then we get the popup ask for the Recovery Key to unlock the drive at the beginning before start windows.


The problem is he don't know the password or recovery key to unlock it. So, now we cannot unlock it at all. Could anyone help us to unlock it because I know there is no other way to unlock it without password or recovery key. He also don't use the Microsoft account to login to the Windows 10. He is using local ID to login, so we cannot retrieved it through email also.

1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

Bitlocker will not accept password or Recovery Key

I am trying to access my hard drive , But my recovery key and password are not being accepted

by bitlocker.

This Recovery key was sent to me when setting up the bitlocker, But now says it's a invalid key



Is there a problem with this software as its not accepting my recovery key Or password.



Can this bitlocker be reset so that it Can accept my recover key.
