Windows 10: Bitlocker prevents modifying/deletion from non-bitlocker drives

Discus and support Bitlocker prevents modifying/deletion from non-bitlocker drives in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I accidentally turned on bitlocker for one drive c: and now I can't modify or delete anything on other drives d:, e:.     Bitlocker prevents modifying/deletion from non-bitlocker drives


    I accidentally turned on bitlocker for one drive c: and now I can't modify or delete anything on other drives d:, e:. No "delete" context menu option is available for any files on d: or e: and deleting through the "del" command says "Access denied". I didn't modify the file permissions for any files on any drive, and I'm able to modify/delete files if I plug d: or e: into another computer. In Control Panel > System and Security > BitLocker Drive Encryption, it says "OS C: BitLocker Decrypting". How long does this take? Other than using another computer

    Can you take a screen shot of the bitlocker window?

    Also, what happens when you highlight the drive in This PC and go to the Manage tab? There should be some bitlocker options there.

    Im happy you resolved it, & without any help to boot *Toast :toast:

    As you can see Drive D is no longer present in BitLocker Drive Encryption.

    When I click on this Drive under Explorer I got the option to FORMAT this Drive and when I click cancel I get the following.

    When I do Right Click on this Drive, I no longer see BitLocker option like I used to.
