Windows 10: BitLocker recovery code not showing on website

Hi Microsoft support team!I have a Lenovo laptop from a friend of mine who locked their computer. We need to bypass BitLocker with the code, but don't CURRENTLY have it. The device is attached to their Microsoft account under the correct device, but when we try to access the webpage to access the key, it displays "Try a different URL. We don’t have anything to show you at this link. Try searching for what you want, instead." Did the webpage to access the BitLocker key change location? Or is there any other way to restore their computer without re-installing Windows? I tried searching the web f

BitLocker Recovery Account issue

Hello,

I have a coworker who after rebooting their laptop, received a blue screen showing a BitLocker Recovery window, where its prompting the user to enter a recovery key in order to access their laptop. This is the first encounter I have seen asking for bitlocker recovery for a user, as we never had an issue where if it did lockout a user, it never asked for a bitlocker recovery key.

We then checked the url: My Account to see if their was a bitlocker recovery key.

Their was no key to use. (attached screenshot)

So we are not sure how to proceed from here. We had another IT user tried various alternatives such as rebooting, attempting to safe mode with no luck.

Asking here for any suggestions on what to do, as this is our first experience on bitlocker recovery.

 

Lost bitlocker recovery key

I have lost my bitlocker recovery key and tried following the recovery steps. I have also searched and tried following the command prompts suggested but none have worked.

1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.
