Windows 10: BitLocker recovery ID / recovery key

Dear Microsoft Support team,I want to inform you that I have bought on 16 May 2020, HP Envy laptop with the Product name: which is:HP ENVY X360 CONVERTIBLE 15-DR0005UR I5/12/NV4/512/WIN10/SLV HP ENVY x360 Convertible , Model I5-dr0005urProdID is: 7SE28EA#ACB , SN#8CG9492TVX , RMN: TPN-W142 I want to let you know that on 8 June 2024, upon the update notification on my Laptop`s Windows 10 system, I proceeded to the optional updates on my HP Envy laptop.However, after the installation of the optional updates on my Laptop, my Laptop restarted several times in order to install the optional up

I did follow your suggestion but I can't get recovery key.

I got the below message.

You don't have any BitLocker recovery keys in your Microsoft account.

Next Step, What should I do?

Hi Guys,

I have problem with the bitlocker recovery key ID.

how can I get the generate PIN bitlocker recovery key ID?

1. I have recovery key ID = 061138BE3C7E4F638CD37F216888E218

2. I dont have email personal to microsoft

3, my laptop is broken so really need my data but should pun PIN bitlocker recovery

How to find bitlocker recovery key with recovery key ID

Hi KatieLu,

if you don't have a recovery key saved in your Microsoft account, you can try to retrieve it using the recovery key ID that is displayed on the BitLocker screen. Here are the steps to do so:

1. Go to the Microsoft BitLocker Recovery Keys page (https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey).

2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that you used to set up BitLocker on your LG gram laptop. 3. Enter the recovery key ID that is displayed on the BitLocker screen. 4. Follow the instructions to retrieve your recovery key. If you click "skip this drive" on the BitLocker screen, it will not delete your files, but it will prevent you from accessing them until you enter the recovery key.

Important: Microsoft support is unable to provide, or recreate, a lost BitLocker recovery key.
