Windows 10: BitLocker Recovery key not found

Hi All

I have an Asus Zenbook bought a month ago running Windows 10 Home 1903.

Here's what happened:

• After Windows update The computer restarted and ran into SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED stopcode.
• After that any attempt to recover requires recoverykey
• Somehow the bitlocker has been automatically enabled without any possibility to writedown the recoverykey.
• Now, when the affected computer is booted up, I am brought to the BitLocker recovery screen.

Based on knowledge base and online support i went to my Microsoft account and looked for recoverykey under my devices


my device was listed there:





I understand from other similar issues, that keys show up after few days. How can it be?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

I did follow your suggestion but I can't get recovery key.

I got the below message.

You don't have any BitLocker recovery keys in your Microsoft account.

Next Step, What should I do?
