Windows 10: Bitlocker recovery page loading to an error message

I booted up my laptop and for some reason was asking for my bitlockerwhich I dont even remember ever setting up key. So I went to aka.ms/myrecoverykey like it said to find my key. It lead to a page saying "Something happened. Wait a bit, then try again. If this issue persists, contact us". I've tried returning to the page a few times over the course of a couple of hours. Still the same error. So I tried going to contact us. Everything seemed to link to vaugely related articles without any way of talking to a real person. Any suggestions of what I can do?

I’m trying to retrieve my BitLocker Recovery Key online from my Microsoft account but when I click “view BitLocker keys” it opens a page that says “loading” and nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Appreciated this suggestion and you got my hopes up for a bit. Unfortunately didn't work out for me.

If it helps others: I have now had two users experience this same problem. Both times it happened during a Windows update. After the update, Windows wanted a BitLocker key. In one case we were able to look up his key in his regular O365 account using the website and method the OP described. Took maybe 5 seconds to display the key. So I know this works in SOME cases. For my other user, however, it's the exact same problem the OP is having - we can get to Devices, we can see the correct device, but the Loading circle just spins and spins.

For that user, the device IS listed in Azure AD, but "No BitLocker recovery key found for this device" there. Argh.

I'm trying to access my bitlocker recovery key via https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey and it is not loading I just get an error page error

"Sorry, something went wrong.

We’re not sure what happened, but refreshing the page may help, or trying again in a little while.

can anyone help with this as I'm unable to access my laptop now.

The only other time I've needed this key was last month and the page was working fine then so something seems to have broken in the meantime
