Windows 10: Bitlocker recovery prompt

Hello,I am having a bit locker recovery prompt, and when i log into my MS account I don't have the keys stored in it as it says no keys found.I have reached out to MS support and they have simply put me through to the manufacturer saying its a hardware issue.Can you please tell me in what world is a security feature of an OS a hardware issue just because it is based on the TPM, are you telling me to replace the whole motherboard because a security feature is not working??This is utterly disgraceful coming from Microsoft.Forum is filled with the same issue, cant you all own up for a mistake?Jus

PC prompting for Bitlocker recovery key, cannot find the recovery key

1. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
2. Are you aware of any changes being made to the PC?
   
3. Which version of Windows is installed on the PC?
   
4. What is the make and model of the PC?
   

This issue can be caused if a BIOS/firmware update has been pushed to your PC either through Windows Updates or any other OEM media update.



If you have set up the Bitlocker on your PC, I suggest you to look for the recovery key on your Microsoft account. Also, you can refer the article

Find my BitLocker recovery key.

1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

BitLocker is turning computer on and prompting for recovery key daily

When the computer is turned on, it will prompt for a 8-256 character password to unlock the drive. In some cases, if the password is typed incorrectly too many times, BitLocker will prompt for the recovery key.

In this case, the computer is turned on and is already at the recovery key step.

We have checked the overnight cameras and nobody is attempting to use this user's device.
