Windows 10: Bitlocker recovery stuck for disabling forced driver signiture verification

Hello Community,on my new Surface Pro 11 with Snapdragon I'm exploring if it can replace my old DELL machine. So far I didn't face any problem but for my development task I haven't found drivers for a ST-Link V2 debugger. But it seems there is a modified version out wich also worked for M1 processors, so I also wanted to give this one a try. But as expected this driver is not properly signed which leads me to the problem while I'm trying to disable the signiture check.As described in some documentation I restarted the machine with pressed shift key. Bitlocker Stuck Decrypting

@rinconmike For future reference, instead of using the TASK MANAGER to restart, you can simply hold CTRL + SHIFT and right click on blank space on the Task bar, to bring up 'Exit Explorer'. Another option is to use software.

We understand your concern as you are getting BitLocker recovery key prompt, every time you turned on the laptop. We appreciate your effort in troubleshooting the issue.



Ideally, in Windows 10 BitLocker doesn’t come by default. It could be possible that the BitLocker got enabled during some updates, either Windows update or PC manufacturer update.



As you have mentioned that you are forced to input the BitLocker recovery key, which is incredibly a tedious process.



Meanwhile, we would suggest you to disable the secure boot from the BIOS and check if you are able to bypass the BitLocker. Please refer the steps in this article:

We understand your concern as the PC is locked with BitLocker and you are unable to retrieve the BitLocker Recovery key from your Microsoft account.



In this situation, we would first suggest you to set the PC to default BIOS settings.



If you still get the option for BitLocker recovery key, then we would suggest you to refer the below article for managing the security info on your Microsoft account and later retrieve the recovery key.
