BitLocker turned on after enabling secure boot

I needed to enable safe boot to play a game anti-cheat required it. My OS is installed on my m2 ssd, I also have 2 HDDs in my computer, one is about 2 years old and the other is very old. After enabling secure boot, bitlocker activated itself and I was given a code for my m2 ssd and the newer hdd. The problem is that my older hdd was encrypted instantly and I was given nothing. I checked the only microsoft account I have but still couldn't find the key. The encrypted hdd has gone through 2 PC setups and I can still access the old one, but it's quite difficult and I haven't found any informat

    Unable to enable Secure Boot.

    Hi MA105343

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Do you have your drive encrypted with Bitlocker Encryption?

If you do use Bitlocker to encrypt your drive, do not perform these steps!

If you do not use Bitlocker, go into BIOS and on the same tab as Secure Boot, you should see the option to reset TPM keys, perform that action and save those settings, Windows should then see Secure Boot is enabled.

  3. Bitlocker Randomly Enabled

    Hi,

On my personal Lenovo laptop, Bitlocker somehow randomly was enabled. I have not enabled it, and I followed the recovery steps without luck. It seems that it was enabled during an update. I logged into my Microsoft account, see that the laptop is listed, but there is no bitlocker key listed. I am at a loss on what the next steps might be for me to be able to log into my computer at this point.

    Secure Boot and Bitlocker

So it's always best to enable Secure Boot BEFORE turning ON BitLocker?

    Thanks for the quick response.
