    BitLocker unexpectedly triggered recovery and now cannot access my PC


    I was using my Surface Pro laptop when it wouldn't let me connect to my wifi network, so I restarted it to fix the issue and then BitLocker asked me to enter my 24 digit pin in order to bootup windows.

    I type in the pin in my account and it doesn't work, I've tried numorous times with diligent checking every few seconds to make sure I didn't mess anything up but it won't unlock. I haven't done anything to the key stored in my account and I've checkes to make it isn't stored anywhere else.

    I've had to unlock BitLocker before but never has it failed to unlock. I tried to unlock it via the command prompt using the "manage-bde" command and no luck with that either.

    I am panicking slightly because this laptop is essential for my schoolwork and not to mention the fact that it would be a waste of money if the reason I can't use it is beyond my control.
