Windows 10: Bitmaps not fully printing after windows 10 update

We have been printing jpg files out of file explorer for several years to a network printer. Yesterday one of our machines updated and would not fully print the jpg file anymore right and left edge printing and blank down the center. We were able to print from within applications on the machine using the same drivers, just not from file explorer. We began printing to the network printer from an un-updated windows 10 machine in file explorer without any issues. This morning that machine updated and is experiencing the same error as the machine that updated yesterday. So this is a windows 10 update issue. Any advice?

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Printing web pages in Windows 10

• Are you able to print via Internet Explorer 11?
• What kind of contents and extensions do you want to print?

I suggest you to perform the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to print documents in the Windows 10 Edge browser and check if it helps:

• 
  Once the document is open in Edge, press
  Ctrl+P or More actions button at the top last end of the browser.
  
• 
  Click Print as PDF button.
  
• 
  Check if the document prints as expected.
  

If the above steps did not work, try the next methods.

Method 2: Set your printer as default.

• 
  Press Windows key and type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on view by and select large icons.
  
• 
  Open Devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on your printer and select set a default printer.

bitmap files

Hi Trish,

It can be caused by malwares. Some bitmap files are know to contain virus specially if you downloaded a file from an untrusted website. As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest that you perform a full antivirus scan on your PC using Windows Defender
or any third-party antivirus apps that you have and see if it will help delete the files.
