Hi! I have a problem. My systemWindows is killing my hard drives. Every time when there is no input from keyboard or mouse, after 3-5 minutes, hard drives is starting to work, one of them is under 100% load and that could last for a while, and after some time it's starting again. I've tried to shut down some related services, but nothing helps. And yes, it stops when there is input.

And for some reason Windows waking up 2of 3 drives which has none programs installed on it, and they are not system drives, no page file, they just a storage drives, In a day it can happen many times.

I did look in Recourse monitor and found that the drives is used by this functionsnot sure that this is all of them:

    $Mft NTFS Masterfile table

I'm worried not only about condition of my drives, but because that thing even happens when I have heavy99-100% CPU Load 3D rendering going on.

Does anyone know what those processes are doing exactly, and how to turn them off or should I not? Or maybe I digging in wrong place and there is another processes that causing that?

    :)

    bitmap files

    Hi Trish,

It can be caused by malwares. Some bitmap files are know to contain virus specially if you downloaded a file from an untrusted website. As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest that you perform a full antivirus scan on your PC using Windows Defender
or any third-party antivirus apps that you have and see if it will help delete the files.

Keep us in the loop with the result.
