Windows 10: Bits start and stop randomly in windows 2019 server

I found this to be the problem when trying to upgrade one of my windows 2019 server . I've had 8 failed attempts to install the upgrade on that computer with 6 primary of errors being reported on fail. all 6 was related to the BITS service.The only way I could get the update to download and prepare to install was to launch the Task Manager and watch the BITS service. Every time it went into a STOPPED status, I restarted it manually. The Prep process and download finally completed and I'm now watching the Update process take place which after an hour is still o

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Upgrade Step for Windows AD Server to Windows Server 2019

Hi all,

I need your help as my situation below,

Primary server:

Windows 2008 R2 Standard (Master)

AD CS

AD DS

DNS

Secondary Server:

Windows 2012 R2 Standard

AD CS

AD DS

DNS

Replication AD only from Primary to Secondary server.

We have bought Windows Server 2019 Standard for two and we plan to upgrade both server,

I have found lots of step to upgrade AD server for easy ways by adding the bootable Windows iso media and run adprep /forestprep.

But I am worry If some thing else messup the configuration and AD itself.

My Plan,

1: Upgrade windows 2012 to Windows 2019

2: After all done, I will start upgrade Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2

3. An then start to Upgrade to Windows 2019

Question : Any step or prerequisite before i start upgrading ? (for example, AD might not working during installation or etc)

Activate RDS CAL 2019 on Windows Server 2016

Dear Microsoft Support,



We recently purchased Windows Server RDS CAL 2019.

When we tried to install Windows Server RDS CAL 2019 into Windows Server 2016, it shows the license is not recognized and couldn’t install.



My questions are :

1. Can’t Windows RDS CAL 2019 be installed in Windows Server 2016? If can, how?
2. Is there any way to downgrade RDS CAL from 2019 to 2016 version?
