Bitwarden server is not running properly, HTTPS certificate only one device?

    Hi there,

because I don't want companies to get my secure passwords, I wanted to host a Bitwarden server.

This also works for now, the Bitwarden server runs on a small Raspberry pi 3 B+. But when I wanted to register it, a message came up:

"This browser requires HTTPS to use the web vaultCheck the bitwarden_rs wiki for details on how to enable it"

So I followed the bitwarden_rs wiki and solved the problem with my MacBook as well. After that I can login with my MacBook through Safari to the ip-address 192.168.xxx.xxx:8005 and use my passwords.

Now I also like to use Windows 10 on the side, but there I get the same message via Firefox as with the first login, although everything works on the MacBook. So in Windows 10 I connected to Raspberry Pi via SSH and followed the Bitwarden_rs wiki again. Unfortunately this did not work.

In short, I can login to the Bitwarden server with Safari on a MacBook, but I get an HTTPS error in Windows 10 Firefox.

    Can you help me?

    Regards, Nioy

    :)

  2. Mail for Exchange : HTTP Server Error 500

I have resolved this same issue on our Nokia handsets using MfE by performing two actions.

There is a configuration change required to the Exchange server for ActiveSync, (as listed on other posts).

The second (and I suggest you try this first, as it may bypass the need to adjust the server completely) was related to our brand of certificate. The Nokia handsets only come pregonfigured with a very small list of Certificate Authorities
(CA's). My solution was to manually import the root CA certificate for our particular CA, which is Comodo.

Basically, you export the CA certificate in DER format from your PC, copy it to your Nokia via USB connection, then on the Nokia, open the certificate and install it. Rather than write all the steps here, I have a small blog entry that outlines the steps
in more detail (although it was written from memory). Blog is here:
    http://copeohs.net/blogs/creativepossibilities/default.aspx

    Hope it helps.

  3. e60 & Security Certificates

When Mail for Exchange connects to a server using a secure connection, it is best if the device has the same root certificate installed that has been used to issue the server certificate. Otherwise the device will prompt the user about an untrusted certificate
every time a connection is made to the server. This may happen several times daily, sometimes only minutes between.

Nokia devices come with many certificates pre-installed. These can be viewed by using Menu-Tools-Settings-Security-Certif._management. If a certificate issued by one of these certificates is used on the server, no additional certificates are required on the
    device.

If a certificate that can not be validated with the device’s pre-installed certificates is used, for example a certificate that has been self-created, the root certificate that has been used to issue the server certificate must be installed on all devices the
    administrator deploys.

In the case of a self-signed server certificate, the root certificate is the same as the server certificate since there is no certificate chain. The server certificate is the one that should be installed.

Before installation the administrator must convert the certificate to a format the Nokia device supports.

For the experienced admin, this statement can be followed: A server’s root certificate must be converted to ‘DER encoded binary X.509’ format.

Step 1: Obtain the root (not intermediate) certificate for the server in base64 format. This should look something like this:

    -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----

    VQQGEwJaQTEiMCAGA1UECBMZRk9SIFRFU1RJTkcgUF

    VSUE9TRVMgT05MWTEdMBsGRVNUMRwwGgYDVQQDExNU

    aGF3dGUgVGVzdCBDQSBSb290MB4XDTA1MTEwNzExMj

    ...removed lines....

    BgEFBQcBAQQmMCQwIgYIKwYBBQUHMAGGFmh0dHA6Ly

    FLgsY+QtxYo=

    -----END CERTIFICATE-----

Step 2: Cut and paste this into notepad and save (or rename) this file with “.cer” extension, i.e.

Step 3: On a Windows PC (XP is used here), double-click the file you created. A Certificate application will start after several seconds. There are three tabs (General, Details, and Certification Path). Select the ‘Details’ tab.

Now press ‘Copy to File…’ button to start the ‘Certificate Export Wizard’. Press ‘Next’. Now select ‘DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER)’ and press ‘Next’. Continue to save the file with any name like . Make sure the filename has a ‘.cer’ extension.

Step 4: Get this file to the device via any means (email, Bluetooth, memory card, etc.). Find the file on the device and select it. If these steps were followed correctly, the device will start to import the certificate. Follow prompts and when asked, check
the boxes for both ‘Internet’ and ‘Online cert. checking’.

Result: You should see a new certificate installed in the device’s Security management list.

Otherwise, the phone will display an error about file format not being supported. If this happens, the certificate has not been imported.

Bitwarden server is not running properly, HTTPS certificate only one device?

    Ignoring exchange server's certificate errors.

    Hi Nicoolai,

Regarding the issue you are having with exchange certificates on your phone.

Here is an article about exchange certificates that you may find useful.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927465/en-us

Scroll about half way down this article for a step by step on setting up exchange mail on the phone.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-IE/howto/wp7/people/set-up-an-email-account.aspx

If you have any suggestions about the phone here is a link to a Windows Phone comments drop box.

    http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions

Also you may need to get your exchange adminstrator to look at the certificate as some of the information may be incorrect, here is a link to the information the certificate needs to have.

Configure mobile phones to access email

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Answers

    Best regards
