Windows 10: Bizarre Windows 10 Calculator bug

Windows Calculator opens fine. But when I click on a button, the black outline that highlights the button I clicked immediately scrolls to the far right and nothing enters the display window. Doesn't matter if I click on %, 1/x, 5, 0, etc. The black outline immediately shifts to the far right.If I click on a button on the far right, however, such as X, +, etc, the display window shows '0 +' which shows the far right buttons are working.When I go to Apps and find Calculator to reset under 'Advanced Options' the Advanced Options link doesn't work. I've uninstalled Calculator and reinstalled it.

Calculator GUI Bug.

This issue has risen before but I'd like to make sure it reaches the phone 7 team.



Lets say I have the dark background set under themes.

I then go into calculator, it appears normal with the grey buttons according to the dark theme.



I then change the theme to the light background and go back into the calculator. The calculator buttons have adjusted and are now white acording to the light theme.

I then go back and change the theme to the dark background again and then go back into the calculator.



This time, the buttons are still white even though I've changed the theme to dark.

If I exit the calculator and re-launch it, the problem is fixed and the buttons are grey again.



This is a GUI bug that should be simple to fix. A minor bug and update would be required.

Why not make a suggestion on the Feedback Hub.

I think this is a step in the right direction. I use Calculator daily.

 

Window's 10 Calculator won't launch

Hi Dan,

There could be a number of factors as to why you are having issues launching the Calculator app on Windows 10. This could be caused by a software conflict or due to the application itself.

You may consider resetting the Calculator app. To do this, refer to the steps below:

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & feature.
  
• Click the Calculator app from the list and then choose Advanced options.
  
• Click Reset.

If the issue persists, I suggest that you create a new user account. This is for us to check if the issue is due to a corrupted user profile. To do this, select the Start button, then select
Settings > Accounts > Family & other people > Add someone else to this PC.
