Windows 10: Blacck screen and explorer.exe flashes after login page

Video This morning when turning on the computer I encountered this error, yesterday before turning off the computer, it notified me that a Windows update was going to be installed, it may be related but looking around the internet also on another reddit post.Things I have tried: Revert the last quality update from the repair options Shift + click on the reset button.Restore to a restore point that was created for me yesterday afternoon.tStarting via safe mode, in the update options, it tells me that a problem has occurred and to restart the application and does not let me see any options r

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

  Are you able to login to Microsoft Account on Web?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Lock vs Login screen screenshot

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

 

Login Screen Constantly Flashing

The screen keeps flickering between the date and login screen so I'm unable to click on the power button on the bottom right (in step 1).

However, I was able to launch safe mode in the automatic repair mode you've suggested previously. Once I log in with safe mode, I get the same system restore error message with some of my apps/files flashing back and forth on my desktop. I've attached a video
below to show what I'm seeing in safe mode.

This issue is super frustrating but I really appreciate your help!
