Windows 10: Black desktop background after the latest Windows 10 Feature Update (2004)

I installed the latest Feature Update, and like many recent posts, I've had a few bugs to contend with.

One issue I'd love to resolve is the black desktop background. Usually, I have a folder full of downloaded photos that the desktop cycles through. I'd previously confirmed that this is still set, however I noted today that when I change that setting, navigate away, and navigate back to that menu, it reverts to solid color, black.

I've tried a few restarts and restarting the display driver by hitting Win+Ctrl+Shift+B, but after the flicker, it doesn't improve anything.

Is this a known issue with the latest update? Is there a fix for this?

Desktop background gone black after a few minutes of use on laptop.

Desktop background and taskbar going black could be due to software conflicts.

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Did you get any error messages or error codes?

In the meantime, we suggest that you try to check if the "Show Windows Background" option is turned on. Follow the steps below:

• Open Settings in the Start menu.
• Go to Ease of Access, then on the left side, click
  Other options.
• Turn on Show Windows Background and check if it works.

Black Background after latest win 10 update

After latest update all my background is black, was able to change desktop to blue but when going on web or opening other applications the background stays black
