Windows 10: black lines on my laptop screen

Anyone know why these have appeared .... and especially if there is an easy, cheap and safe fix I can do? Or to prevent their further expansion (see below)

It is an old HP Elitebook G2, Windows 10 Pro (64) 1803 and recently puffed the battery (heating cause was likely corrupted Power Management driver, downloaded fresh defaults from HP, seemed to help, but too late for battery now removed and only running on external power. There was first only a small pyramid of 3 rows of small black dots a few days ago, one dot (or dash)on top, space, 2 under it, space and maybe 4 on the bottom. Has now expanded to this and seems to grow a bit daily, in thickness and length. The lines are in the SCREEN and cannot be "snipped".

Also suspect maybe loose connection to SSD or somewhere. Other possible cause: in the beginning when I noticed heating, sprayed liquid evaporating COLD gas sold for laptops into underside fan inlet vents as well as fan exhaust. Fan is working correctly, maybe damaged something in the process?

Black horizontal lines appearing across laptop screen

Took delivery of a brand new laptop yesterday with the following specs:

Unpacked it, started using it, only to find black horizontal lines appearing across the screen sporadically. I updated all drivers, downloaded and installed all Windows updates but to no avail. Screenshots:

Some points to note:

• I had the laptop connected to the TV screen and the lines appeared on
  the TV as well, thus suggesting it's not a screen issue.
  
• Because it's a sporadic and somewhat rare event, I can't say whether
  the lines appear during a particular operation/screen or
  anytime/anywhere.
  

I've done a bit of poking around on the net and found that usually the culprit is the graphics card, but not sure. Any suggestions?

Toshiba Laptop Black Screen

I have a Toshiba Laptop, Was reinstalling windows 7 on it last night left it doing the updates then shut it down. Turned it on this this afternoon only to find the laptop screen is Black and also there is a burning smell coming from the Fan.

I connected the Laptop to a external monitor that is fine, Can go into bios, Windows boots up fine Etc.
Just took apart the laptop earlier to check all the cables where in correctly, Checked the motherboard over for any damage, burnt bits but but found nothing. Just put it back together now but im still getting this burning smell and i still cant use the laptop screen only a external screen.

I Tried Pressing FN+F5 to switch to the laptop screen, But still black screen. Any Suggestions please ?
