Windows 10: Black screen after updates KB5049624 and KB5050021

On January 15, I got a black screen again soon after updates KB5049624 and KB5050021 installed. System Restore didn't work this time - I'm not sure if the restore point was flawed or if the updates re-installed right away. I then went into Safe Mode and uninstalled the updates, which fixed the problem.This is the second time in 3 months this happens. In November, I had a black screen after updates KB5046633 and KB5045935, which I reported here at the time. System restore and disabling updates for 5 weeks worked in that case. Why does this keep happening?How do I permanently disable update
