Windows 10: Black screen after Windows 10 2004/20H2 update

Hello,

I've tried updating Windows a couple of times now. I've tried updating via Windows Update, Windows Upgrade Assistant, Windows Media Creation Tool and a bootable USB created using Rufus and it's included download tool. When I first login after upgrading I get the "We're getting a few things ready" screen as usual. When that is done however I get a black screen with just my cursor. I can't open task manager I've tried Ctrl+Shift+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Del and Win+R, pressing the Win-key won't bring up the start menu and the lock button on my keyboard doesn't work.

I also tried using startup repair, booting in safe mode, booting into WinPE and running DISM/sfc and none of it is working.

I've uninstalled my AV, updated all drivers to their latest version.

Does anyone know any way to fix this because I'm all out of options since I really don't want to reinstall Windows.

by following the below steps.

To update Windows 10 to feature pack update 2004 manually

Step: 1

Open the link below

Step 2:

Click Update which will download the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

• Were you able to get to the desktop screen after you restarted the system?
  
• When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
  
• Did you get any error code or error message?
