Windows 10: Black screen after windows installation with USB - please help!

Hello,I tried to upgrade my boyfriend's PC from a HDD to a 2.5" SSD and I think I did something wrong, because when I went to unplug the HDD after copying everything to the SSD, I got the blue screen of death and it will always boot into windows recovery mode. NOTHING in windows recovery mode worked. Startup repair didn't work, system restore didn't work, and when I tried to reset the PC with or without keeping the files, it would always say "there was an error restarting the PC." sfc/scannow didn't detect any corruption, and chkdsk doesn't work. This is where I am confused because I built the

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

 

Installing windows off of a USB stick

Step By Step from vista:
From admin cmd prompt

1. diskpart
1a. list disk
2. select disk 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1 (replace 1 with your usb drive)
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

Copy Windows Vista's DVD ROM content to the Flash Drive

xcopy d:\*.* /s/e/f e:\ (d being your vista cd and e being your usb stick)

And that's it, boot off your usb disk
