Windows 10: Black screen after windows login subsequent to a windows 10 update

Hello,I have been repeatedly getting black screen after Windows 10 updates and every time, the resolution was to go in to advanced option and roll back the previous update. This has only been a temporary fix as the next scheduled or unscheduled update it would put it back in the same state. I have lost count of how many times I have done this in the past year.So I went to fix this for good by going in to the safe mode and updating the necessary drivers video card? by choosing to go in to Safe mode on windows login, press Shift + restart -> provides me with the options to boot in to saf

Windows 7 black screen of death

I read a report a little while ago that said the black screens were nothing to do with updates but due to a malicious program (it hit more than just windows 7 users - vista, xp and 2000 were also prone to the black startup screen of death if infected). My windows 7 install is fully up-to-date and i've never had the black startup screen.

Just run some decent anti virus and you should be safe (i suggest microsoft security essentails since it's free and pretty decent). When you've installed an anti-virus i'd suggest doing a full scen to be sure there's nothing there.
