Windows 10: Black screen after Windows start-up after removing internal laptop display.

Hi. I have recently removed broken display from my laptop and wanted to use exclusively external display laptop display was only dimmed off but still connected physically, roght now I just removed the lid and cabling. After system finish booting up on login screen I see nothing and external display says no signal. I see booting process, can enter BIOS, or enter safe mode. Any tool in safe mode that can help me locate and resolve issue? System startup repair shows it cannot help with anything and SFC founds nothing to repair. System runs normally except in "normal" mode it seems completely go

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Black screen after starting laptop (window 10)

You need to turn fast boot off in your control panel, I had the same issue but you need to boot your pc then when the black screen comes up you need to put your pc in sleep mode and then turn it on again, then you got the login screen.. I posted pictures to disable fast boot *Wink

 

Windows 10: Internal Laptop screen not recognized anymore, but external are just fine

Since just recently, my internal laptop screen is not detected anymore. I cannot find it in the list of available display (Windows 10 settings) and it's still just black if I remove the USB-C or HDMI cable completely of the device. If I start the laptop,
everything is just black until I plug in the external screen.

I've reinstalled the Display Driver, but nothing changed at all.

Any advice?

The device is an ASUS UX490UA-BE087T, Intel i7-8550U with Windows 10 Home.
