Windows 10: BLACK SCREEN BRIEFLY UPON STARTUP

The last few times I have booted up my computer it has taken longer than usual. A black screen appears for about 8 seconds before it successfully boots. I have an SSD drive, so it normally boots very rapidly. I had run Powershell chkdsk /x /f /r and boot up was fine afterward for a few days. The black screen upon boot up is back. The laptop does boot up, but I am concerned about the black screen issue. Also, I checked in Startup and found a strange image "Enabled" that was in Asian writing/symbols. I disabled it. I checked Startup again and that icon was missing. Very strange. Thank
