Windows 10: Black Screen Crash after December, 2024 Updates

My HP Pavillion laptop suffered yet another “black screen with cursor” crash after December 2024 updates-- KB5045935, KB5048685, KB5047486, KB2467173. This follows the same result from November’s update, KB5046633. In both cases, rolling back these updates restored operation. Painful! What the heck!What happens with these now-missing updates? Does this expose vulnerabilities that are never fixed, or will a future update plug these holes?I’ve paused updates for another five weeks. I’ve seen ways to stop all updates though not built into Win 11 but this seems unwise in the long term. What to d

• When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
  
• Did you get any error code or error message?
