    Black Screen Crash after Windows updates--ongoing problem


    I get a black screen with cursor crash after Windows updates on my HP Pavilion laptop. The crash occurs immediately after logging in. My problems started last November 2024 with KB5046633 and has repeated on each subsequent update six times now, I think. Each time, over the past 5 months, I’ve rolled back the latest update to restore operation. The latest update to cause a crash is KB5055528.I’ve previously posted on this site and searched online for suggested fixes. I’ve tried:Restarting the display driver with Windows+control+shift+b.Restarting explorer.exe from command line.Installed an u
